Noopuradwani is a home for Bharatanatyam — a place where the ancient grammar of the dance is taught with the same devotion it was born from, and where every student is met where they stand.
Ms. Syama Noopuradwani · Founder & Guru
Ms. Syama Noopuradwani began her own journey in Bharatanatyam at the age of six, training for over two decades under masters of the Vazhuvoor and Kalakshetra traditions before founding Noopuradwani. Her teaching honours the discipline of the old gurukula while making room for the curiosity of every new student.
She believes the dance is not performed but offered — a practice of patience, posture and presence that shapes the dancer long after the anklets are untied.
Pure margam from the classical Bharatanatyam tradition — adavus, jathis and abhinaya taught the way they were handed down.
Small batches so every dancer is seen, corrected and encouraged at their own pace, never lost in a crowd.
Regular arangetrams, recitals and graded examinations give real milestones to work towards.
More than steps — posture, breath, music and devotion woven into a practice that shapes the whole person.
Syama first tied her anklets at the age of six, drawn to the discipline and storytelling of Bharatanatyam.
Over twenty years of study under gurus of the Vazhuvoor and Kalakshetra traditions shaped her craft and her teaching eye.
A studio built to pass the tradition forward — faithful to its roots, generous with its welcome.
Hundreds of students, dozens of arangetrams, and a community that returns season after season.
The dance is not performed — it is offered. We teach patience, posture and presence; the grace follows on its own.
Whether the dancer is four or forty, there is a place for them here. Book a trial class and feel the rhythm for yourself.
